Getting Involved
Dear Friend,
Thank you for your interest in getting involved with KIND.
Our commitment this year is to expand KIND’s base of support so as to begin the work of building a strong foundation for the future; and to offer amazing, relevant training opportunities and resources to women and youth activists within Nigeria.
Our suggestions for how you might get involved roughly match these commitments. But the suggestions only express our areas of need. We’d love to hear from you about your interests and strengths and possibly co-create a way for you to support our work.
Thank you!
Suggestions:
Give money to KIND
Financial resources empower us to do our work and are managed carefully to ensure that we honor a donor’s intention to make a positive difference. Please click here for more information on becoming a member of the Friends Giving Circles or click here for information about the Solidarity Program.
Invite a KIND person to speak to your community
KIND people are always available to come and speak. Please contact the office if you’re interested in having one of us come to your community.
Contribute in-kind resources to help advance our projects
-
Books for the library
Documentaries on democracy movements or of leaders of various movements
Computers or software for our computer training programs
Books or tools kits for leadership and skills training programs
Contribute ideas and/or contacts
We are always looking for:
- Information about leadership development or skills training programs run in Africa or other regions so please send along any information – or report – on programs you think are worth looking at.
- Information on NGOs in Nigeria and Africa working on youth and women that we may not already know about.
- Information on INGOs (International Non Governmental Organizations) who are developing a focus on Nigeria, especially those working on promoting civil society, youth, women, democracy and human rights.
